Gary Hertzberg's
PJ-260 Senior Aero Sport
Gary's plane with the Lycoming radial engine. Looks like a
muscle biplane!
Gary sent me picture and info on his plane. Here is what he had to say.
Mike,
I was just
doing a little web surfing and came across your website.
Ironically, I own the radial engine PJ that you have pictured,
built by Henry Neys. (it is the only radial powered ship on my home page)
I purchased it
from a Delta airlines pilot who unfortunately died two weeks
later so I wasn't able to get too much information from him about
the history. The airplane is presently
undergoing a complete restoration, including having the Lycoming
R-680 rebuilt to original specs. As usual, I would
have liked to have had it completed by now but situations have
caused delays. I hope to have it flying sometime this
summer.
I am located at
the Spruce Creek Fly-In in Daytona Beach, Florida. I too would
like to get more information on the PJ's, particularly if anyone
knows about other round engine PJ's. I'd
appreciate any assistance you can provide.

I wonder what it will look like when Gary gets it done? back
